I think finding the right form is important for any writer. Just like an athlete has to pick what kind of sport to dedicate themselves to, a writer needs to know what form fits them best.
If you have doubts, you are not alone. It’s part of being human. I’m starting to believe that “fearlessness” is only a fictional trait.
What Are You Writing About?
So, when I say I’m writing a novel, inevitably the next question is always: “What are you writing about?” I’m secretly annoyed by this question. Although I know everyone who asks it really means well, there’s something sort of unfair about it.
